Indie-Credible Event!!

Featuring:

Morgan Wylie

A dying realm.

The ancient evil of the Droch-Shúil has been unleashed.

The Orchids have been silenced… but for how long?

Daegan, elite of the Ferrishyn warrior tribe of Faeries, is charged with a mission to find the Sol-lumieth, a mysterious new power that could change the fate of all in the realm of Alandria. But he is conflicted by his purpose, and he cannot trust the motives of those he serves. He has too many questions and they must be answered.

Kaeleigh, a girl abandoned as a small child just outside Missoula, Montana, is now 18. She is trying to discover who she is and where she belongs. In her heart, she feels she has family out there… somewhere. Desperate to unravel the mysteries of her past, she embarks on a journey that will forever change her along with her two best friends, Finn and Chel—who have secrets of their own.

My Review
Love this story!  Kaeleigh is such a cool girl that has adjusted well after being abandoned as a child.   After all these years full of questions, she may be about to get the answers to her past whether she really wants them or not - along with several other surprises along the way.  One of those surprises comes in the form of a tall, dark, and handsome (not to mention tedious and overbearing) stranger that seems to show up out of nowhere.  Daegan is starting to question the rulers of his land and the work he is doing for them.  His decisions over what to do about it may affect more lives than he realizes.  Kaeleigh also has two loyal and fun friends that will follow her anywhere.  As if Daegan doesn't cause enough turbulence on his own, now all four of them have to learn things about themselves and each other they may have never imagined.  I'm excited for more this amazing story!

Author Interview
Favorite Book & Author: Oh man! I think this is an impossible question to answer, but I'll try. I read a LOT. Reading was my first love, before I really started writing again. I write fantasy because I love fantasy, paranormal, urban fantasy, etc. I digress, favorite book(s): I loved The Mortal Instruments series, I love Quinn Loftis' The Grey Wolves series, Chelsea Fine's The Archers of Avalon series, Samantha Young's Fire Spirits series (ok all of hers actually ;), Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series(adult) and her YA Darkest Powers series, Ooo and Tammy Blackwell's Timber Wolves series and Lizzy Ford's (ok all of her's as well). Ok so the list goes on… (yes, that's my way of not answering that question lol sorry)

Favorite Movie: Oldies I love: Footloose, Princess Bride. Current(ish): Harry Potter series and Alice in Wonderland (Johnny Depp--hello?!)

Favorite TV Show: I don't watch much TV, but I love Buffy, Roswell, Charmed, (ok those are old too--I seem to be dating myself here) but these are comfort shows I watch over and over when I need to chill. Current: Bones, NCIS (although I'm behind), Vampire Diaries (also behind), New Girl.

Favorite Writing Music: Oh I have lots of these too! lol. Basically, I create a playlist for my current project (about 2+hours worth) that are either something that inspired what I was working on or simply the emotion and vibe conveyed through the music. For example here is the playlist I made (or most of it) for Silent Orchids:

Favorite Vacation Spot: Oregon Coast and Disneyland.
How did you get started writing or decide you wanted to? I wrote on and off in my early years, but then put it aside for awhile only to pick it back up again--and much more seriously--in '08 but didn't get my idea for The Age of Alandria series until I was 7mo preggo in '09. I kept trying different ideas but nothing seemed to "click" until this one. Strangely enough, I got the idea while I was watching a commercial that had an orchid in it and the whole story flashed before me (cliché right? I know) and I've been writing ever since.
Any hobbies? Um I used to do a lot of scrapbooking, interior design, painting, but with my writing and my 4yo I don't end up with a lot of extra time these days :)

Any pets? I grew up with dogs… big dogs, lol. But hubby isn't much of a pet person and we're in an apt right now anyway so no animals right now. Hopefully a dog in the future though. I'm a dog kinda gal ;)
Anything else that makes you 'you'? Well, that's an interesting question. I think we all go through different kinds of challenges in our lives and they, along with our decisions and choices in how we react to those things, make us who we are as we continue to grow on our journeys. (ok that seemed a little heavy, lol) Also, what makes me "me" is: family, reading, writing, creativity, fun, faith, Reese's, coffee, Twizzler Pull 'n Peels, music, laughter, and love.
