Review & Giveaway of The Syndicate by Shelena Shorts!

OmigoshOmigoshOmigosh!! I am so excited to be able to share this book with you!  I have been a huge fan of Shelena Shorts ever since I won The Pace in a giveaway several years ago!  I fell in love with that series immediately - Wes & Sophie are both just amazing!  When I first heard that Shelena was releasing the first book in a new series I was actually a little frustrated because I was dying for more Wes & Sophie!! I had no idea that I would end up being just as hooked on the sexy Vasi by the time I was finished reading The Syndicate! And this is definitely a book that you can judge by it's cover - I mean, look at him! Isn't he just gorgeous?? He's got that hardened bad-boy look down! Anyway, let's get on with it so you can learn a little about this new book hottie & his world!

The Syndicate
Shelena Shorts
For centuries, the Petrescu family has been protecting society from a danger that moves among the population undetected. Eighteen-year-old Vasi Petrescu has never had a problem carrying out his duty, but, when ordered to eliminate an eighteen-year-old girl, he is immediately taken out of his comfort zone.

The Syndicate has never targeted a female before, yet somehow this one has ended up on more than one hit list. Vasi would like to find out why, but there may not be time.

Now, he'll have to decide whether or not to keep her alive even if it means going against his own family.

The action, mystery, and conspiracy in The Syndicate will take readers on an immersing journey in which decisions are not only life changing, but irreversible.

My Review
Holy Hit-List – this book was incredible!! I can’t even tell you how awesome Vasi is. He’s dark & dangerous but also a protector who is very loyal to his family. He is smart enough not to let his loyalty blind him though. He has incredible instincts and as he learns to fully trust in them he find out things that he never expected. He’s also completely taken with the girl who he is supposed to be eliminating. Riley may appear to be fragile but she is very brave when she needs to be & manages to attract a lot more than just Vasi’s attention. He realizes pretty quickly that he can’t just get rid of her, but now he feels like he should be protecting her. That will not go over well with his family, though, so whatever he decides needs to be a permanent decision. There was so much excitement & surprise in this book it was impossible to put it down! I absolutely loved it and I cannot wait for more!!

  2. Paranormal meets assassins...that sounds like a really cool story!!! Can't wait to hear what Riley is all about that has left Vasi questioning his loyalties!
    Thanks for this raffle :)

  3. JLynn Thank you for hosting this giveaway! Also Thank you to Shelena Shorts for providing a copy of her newest book!

  4. Where does she gets her inspiration?

  5. Hello everyone! Thank you for entering! Lissette, my overall inspiration comes from writers like Stephenie Meyer and Nicholas Sparks. Meyer for the way she makes characters seem like real people, and Sparks because of the way he portrays all the real emotions in life. As I write, I try to remember "real people" "real emotions," then I add something super "outside the box" to the story to make it interesting and creative! I hope you get to read one and tell me what you think.
Good luck and have a nice weekend!
