The Eternity Cure (Blood of Eden #2) by Julie Kagawa

Allison Sekemoto has vowed to rescue her creator, Kanin, who is being held hostage and tortured by the psychotic vampire Sarren. The call of blood leads her back to the beginning—New Covington and the Fringe, and a vampire prince who wants her dead yet may become her wary ally.

Even as Allie faces shocking revelations and heartbreak like she’s never known, a new strain of the Red Lung virus that decimated humanity is rising to threaten human and vampire alike.

My Review
Wow! This book was mentally exhausting – but completely amazing all at once! There is never a dull moment for Allison, that’s for sure. She’s extraordinarily loyal and strong, and still possesses a lot more of her humanity than most vampires do. But there are a few who just love to test her limits. And then there’s Sarren - probably the most terrifying, sadistic, whacked-out, psycho-freakin-crazy-ass villain there is! As if Allie doesn’t have enough to deal with already, add a new strain of the horrid Red Lung virus to the mix. Be prepared to be put through the ringer as you devour this book – it’s painful, terrifying, beautiful, disgusting, shocking, and maddening. And I loved every second of it! I need more NOW!!
