Unexplainable Premonitions… catapult her to other cities.

The Grungy Gang… wants to kill her.

And a beautiful, mysterious boy… stalks her.

But when Sera moves to Chicago, and her aunt reveals their family connection to a centuries old, secret society, she is immediately thrust into an unbelievable fantasy world, leading her on a quest to unravel the mysteries that plague her. In the end, their meanings crash into an epic struggle of loyalty and betrayal, and she’ll be forced to choose between the boy who has stolen her heart and the thing she desires most.

My Review
Wow! This was a fascinating and unique story! It was impossible to put down! I loved the mystery of Sera trying to figure out what on earth is happening to her or if she might just be going crazy. She is a wonderful & caring person despite living with her emotionless father & moving around a lot. And then there's Bishop, who is absolutely amazing & definitely adds to the mystery as he seems to randomly appear when Sera least expects it. The other characters each add their own flair to the story, too. Especially Gabe who seems to add flair to everything he touches! (Not everyone is so easy to love, though, there's one in particular that will make your skin crawl!) All in all, I absolutely loved this story from beginning to end & can't wait for more!

Angel Fire (Angel #2) by L.A. Weatherly

In Book Two of L. A. Weatherly’s wildly romantic, action-packed trilogy, the angels are back with a vengeance . . . and they don’t have heaven in mind.

In the wake of the Second Wave, the angel menace has exploded, and Alex and Willow are on the lam. Willow’s prophetic dream points them to Mexico City, where they connect with a fledgling group of angel killers led by the exotically beautiful Kara, an Angel Killer from Alex’s past. But the team remains suspicious of Willow, even after the more-experienced Alex takes over as leader, training them hard for a rush attack on the Seraphic Council, or “The Twelve.” This elite group of all-powerful angels is also under the scrutiny of Willow’s angel-father, Raziel, who has his own sinister plan to defeat them.

What Willow hasn’t told Alex is that there was also a mysterious boy in her dream, one she felt overpoweringly attracted to. When brooding, gorgeous Seb shows up in the flesh, he turns out to be another—possibly the world’s only other—half angel. He’s been searching for Willow all his life, and when Alex enlists this rival to help keep Willow safe, he can’t predict what chemistry will pass between them . . . or how far Willow might go to keep Alex safe. Will their love endure or spell doomsday for the human race?

My Review
Wow! To say this book was intense would be a major understatement! I know I have a few more gray hairs after reading it. (And there may have been a few times when I threatened to fling it up against the wall!) After all that went down in Angel Burn I knew this would have to be pretty crazy but it had some very exciting parts, as well. As well as some really stressful & heartbreaking parts, so prepare yourself! But there is also plenty of love & romance to warm your heart a little. I'm still not completely sure how I feel about the introduction of Sebastian. I'll have to see what the next book brings before I can decide.

Catalyst (Collide #3) by Shelly Crane

In the third installment of the Collide series, we start off with Sherry, taken prisoner in the enforcement facility. The little bunker family must now decide whether it's worth the risk to try to save her or if it would bring doom to them all. Lily has started showing signs of her gift progressing, which may not be a desirable thing. And as Marissa starts to act strangely, Jeff must come to terms that there may be more to her illness that meets the eye.
Daniel, the Lighter who shocked Lillian with his human emotions will reappear, but for what purpose? Will Sherry be rescued before it's too late? Will Daniel prove to be a genuine miracle? Will Cain be able to fully get over his love for Sherry and move on with Lillian? And how much more trouble can the new Taker cause for the rebels?
Some will make it and some won't as the story continues...

My Review
Wow - that was intense! I love this little band of rebels, including all the newcomers they continue to add. They go through so much pain and so much loss but remain strong through it all. Sherry & Merrick do such a wonderful job of holding their little family together. Sometimes their love is the only thing that gets them through it all; it is such a strong, powerful, consuming love it makes my heart ache for them when they are apart. Others are beginning to find love in the middle of all their troubles, too, and you might be surprised to find out who! It's also getting harder & harder to know who they can trust. They are learning that keepers may have the ability to be downright evil, while one lighter seems to have grown a conscience & has the desire to do good. My heart is aching for the next book in this series - it can't come quick enough!

Uprising (Collide #2) by Shelly Crane

Sherry and Merrick's story continues in this sequel to Collide. In this installment, we come face to face with old acquantances and new friends and new enemies. Things will change for all of them especially when a little girl is found and everyone's loyalties are tested. A revelation may upset the delicate balance they've all tried so hard to set. There's new love, new rivalries and new transformations in the continuing series of Collide.

My Review
Wow! I'm still completely hooked! This book will definitely keep you on your toes! You never know what to expect. I thought I might have a heart attack a few times! But it's all balanced beautifully with the growing family of misfits who are learning to love & trust more than they could have ever expected. It's amazing the strengths you can find inside yourself when faced with disaster and that's what they are all learning along the way. Sherry & Merrick continue to amaze me with their ability to love and there seems to be some new relationships blooming in the hide-away, too! I am definitely addicted to this story!

Collide (Collide #1) by Shelly Crane

Sherry has always known there was something out there. She's eighteen, works for a tabloid newspaper in Chicago and has a brother, Danny who is a lazy mooch. They live a pretty normal dull life with hippie parents and a normal existence Then the moon dissapears and people start to go missing only to reappear later, but different. Sherry has an abusive ex-boyfriend who shows up and claims to be one of these beings that have been showing up around the world. He's no longer the same person in that body. He tells her he has come to protect her and her brother and takes her underground, against her will to save her, where they meet others like them. She begins to unravel the truth about Merrick, about what he's really doing here, about the way he looks at her, about the crazy dangerous world they live in. Can he convince her that he's here to help? Will she like what she finds when she opens up to the truth? Will he be the one to love her when everyone else has failed her? Will he be able to protect her?

My Review
Oh yeah, right up on my favorites shelf!! This book was so good! I love this whole story! It is scary and beautiful all at the same time. Merrick *sigh* Merrick is just amazing!! And Sherry just needed someone who loved her enough to make her see what a wonderful and loving person she is. I have actually really grown to love all the characters and I cannot wait to see how they all grow and change even more as the story goes on! I could gush a little more about how wonderful this was but right now I'm too excited to get started on Uprising!!
